Polished! Vol 2

OPI- Lincoln Park After Dark
 Psst!

This week I went with a classic; OPI's "Lincoln Park After Dark". It's a flat dark purple. Totally chic and gorgeous! I wear this all the time. It looks fabulous on the toes with a pair peep toe pumps or even flip flops & sandals in the summer. This color ALWAYS works! :)

Oh and P.S. I finally nailed down what LUSH's Glogg shower gel smells like. Do you guys remember the little flat Necco wafers? It smells exactly like the cola flavored one! Yumm that was one of my favorites. Probably why I'm so fond of it! If your local LUSH still has them I definitely recommend snatching one up before their gone!!

You smell fabulous! What are you wearing?

Psst!

One of my favorite things to collect is fragrances. I'm a sucker for cute packaging and yummy smells! (Hence my LUSH obsession as well!) I have quite a collection but I have decided to share my top 6- it started with 3 but I just couldn't decide! Lol.

To me, fragrance is where you can create your signature; be unique. It's one of the things you can completely control. You cant always control your makeup smudging or a wardrobe malfunction but you can always count on your trusty fragrance! I would say majority of my fragrances are girly, sweet, warm & floral. As you'll see from the descriptions I love notes of bergamont, patchouli & sandalwood.

1) Bombshell by Victoria's Secret
Bombshell by Victoria's Secret- a glamorous blend of purple passion fruit, Shangri-la peony and vanilla orchid. This is one of the newest additions to my collection and oh man does it smell great! This perfume is a strong one that lingers with you all day. It's fruity & sweet yet sexy at the same time. It's becoming my everyday perfume.. love it!

2) Couture Couture by Juicy Couture
Couture Couture by Juicy Couture- A luscious mandarin and natural orange flower blossoms with succulent pink grape accords, star jasmine, honeysuckle and blushed plum, drying down to a warm amber, vanilla and creamy sandalwood. When I wear this I feel so chic and girly. You can detect a hint of the original Juicy Couture just kicked into high fashion mode. At first when you put it on it's strong but it settles down and becomes a subtle hint of fabulousness!

3) Burberry by Burberry

Burberry by Burberry- A fresh and fruity fragrance with top notes of blackcurrant and green apple. Combined with heart notes of cedarwood, jasmine, moss and sandalwood, the fragrance has a rich and sensual tone, Musk and vanilla smooth the scent, giving it a warm and opulent aroma. This will probably always be my signature scent. I have been wearing this since high school and have been through many bottles. This is another one that makes me feel fashionable and girly. It's an extremely warm & deep fragrance. Very versatile as well. It fits well wearing it super dressy or casual and fun.

4) Gucci Guilty
Gucci Guilty- Top notes of pink pepper, heart note of lilac, base notes of patchouli and amber. This one is a very sophisticated sexy smell. I wear this only on special occasions. (It's too expensive to waste- Thank goodness it was a gift! Lol!) But I am a believer in you get what you pay for. Gucci guilty is very bold and daring yet it has a warm girly side to it as well. Super strong; one spray will do ya. It's one of those perfumes you can smell in your laundry basket, but it smells so delicious it's a bonus!

5) Hot Couture by Givenchy

Hot Couture by Givenchy-Sweet raspberry nectar, magnolia, and ambered vetiver combine to bewitch us with vibrant, confident, and passionate femininity. Raspberry Dew, Jasmine, Bergamot, White Musk. This is a very glamorous & sophisticated perfume. Super sweet and strong. Another one where one spray will last all day! I usually wear this one on date night :)

6) Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf

Flowerbomb by Viktor&Rolf- Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, and Ballerina Freesia bloom on a base of Patchouli.. Last but definitely not least! Flowerbomb is sooo yummy. Sweet, floral & feminine. Very warm as well. I love wearing this. Makes me feel super girly!

A cupcake a day keeps the sweet tooth away!

Psst!

Cupcakes anyone?

Lemon cupcakes with Strawberry and Lemon frosting! DEE-LISH! I call the strawberry iced ones "Strawberry Lemonade". They were my favorite! Family & friends enjoyed them too! They are already all gone! Ha! I got this adorable cupcake stand at Wal-Mart for $5. Bargain shopper as always ;) I used Duncan Hines lemon cake batter and Pillsbury Strawberry & Lemon frostings. Also, a little secret I discovered; I've found that if you add 1/2 cup of oil instead of 1/3 they turn out super moist and YUMMY! I promise a longer blog coming up next!

Up to Boot

Psst!

Hello all! If you're a fellow fashionista, you may know that flat boots (a.k.a. riding boots) are one of this season's MUST have! Adorable paired with tights and a slouchy sweater dress or skinny jeans, cute top and a bulky scarf. Typically, I'm more of a "heel" girl but I have fallen in love with flat boots! At first I was skeptical but as soon as I tried them on, I was hooked! Super comfortable and so versatile. Perfect for a long day of shopping!

First up are my taupe Black Poppy knee high flats. I bought these on Black Friday at PacSun for $32.00. Love at first sight! I have worn them at least once a week ever since! I love how they have a crinkled slouchy leather look. 1" heel with an inside full length zipper and come about 3" below the knee. Love Love Love! :)

Then we have my black Qupid knee high boots. I bought these at Forever 21 this past weekend for $32.80.(I had a $25 giftcard so I only paid $8!!) They were the last pair left in the whole store and they were my size! It was fate! These are 1 1/2" heel with an ankle zipper and come all the way up to my knee. I also adore the double buckle detailing at the top! Haven't had a chance to bust out these babies just yet but when I do they will look fab! :)

If you dont already have a pair of flat boots, I highly recommend adding a pair to your wardrobe collection! You won't regret it!

Polished! Vol. 1

Psst!

Ah, Monday. Getting back to work and out of weekend mode. Doesn't help that it's raining either. Makes me wanna curl in in bed drinking a Starbucks reading my nook! :) But today I put a fresh coat of polish on. Always puts a little pep in my step to see pretty nails! Lol! 99.9% of the time I always have my nails polished. I have a huge rack and love to collect them! I figured I'd share my collection with you, one manicure at a time. I always do my own finger nails because I don't like all the base coats and top coats salons use.. peels off the very next day! So, without further ado, let's get to our first polish!

Midnight in Moscow-With Flash
OPI- Midnight in Moscow
This is one of my all time favorite polishes! Probably my HG (holy grail) polish! I think it's my 3rd bottle and typically 1 bottle lasts me forever! It's a gorgeous shade of  brown with a hint of burgundy. It's shimmery but not too over powering. I always get so many compliments on this color and have gotten quite a few people addicted to it as well! Lol! When you apply the first coat it's deceiving because it almost looks gray, but as soon as you apply the second coat; instantly fabulous! :)

Oh My LUSH!

Psst!

So, yesterday was such a fabulous day! Front row parking everywhere we went, had the nicest helpers and even scored a free Starbucks "just because"! (You will soon find out I'm OBSESSED with Starbucks! Ha!) So, anyways, yesterday we went to LUSH; one of my all time favorite companies. They are homemade bath and body products based out of Canada (but available world-wide). And oh man do they have some GREAT stuff! I picked up a few things yesterday but I was bummed that they didn't have the Valentine's Day things out yet. They have the cutest things coming out! I'll be sure to show and tell when I get my hands on them; don't you worry! ;) Everything I bought yesterday were Holiday items which are all 50% off! Suh-weet! Let me show you what I got!! :)

On the right is "It's Raining Men" Shower gel & HOTTIE massage bar (we'll get to those later!) Then we have "Glogg" Shower gel which was limited edition for the holidays. It smells SO GOOD! Super spicy.. Like Cinnamon, Cloves & Mulled cider or wine. Love it!

LUSH Cinders Bath Bomb
Then I bought 3 "Cinders" bath bombs. I think this is my favorite bath bomb! When you drop it in your bath, the little "pop rocks" on the top crackle and make it sound like a crackling fire!! I already had a few of them but these are limited edition for the holidays and 50% off so I figured I'd stock up until next year! :) I also got "Top of the Blocks" Soap bar. Which is half "Karma" soap & half "Honey I Washed the Kids" soap. Karma smalls like spicy patchouli, lemongrass, orange oil and pine. Sounds crazy but it's actually pretty nice. Honey I Washed the Kids Smells like sweet honey and oh my is it Yummy!!The lovely ladies also gave me a sample of "Ultrabland" which is their makeup remover. I'll have to try it out and see how it is!

Now on to my favorite part! I've been dying to tell you! When we first walked in to LUSH all the girls had mustaches on and told us they were having a mustache contest. Whoever had the best mustache wins all the new products! We were already headed to Sephora so we asked the girls if they had just a cheap liquid eyeliner I could buy to draw it on. But when they heard about the contest they wanted to do it for me. So the makeup artist drew "LUSH" on one cheek with grass and sparkles then it connected to my mustache then connected to flowers and leaves on my other cheek. Needless to say; I actually WON! Can you believe it? It was crazy!

LUSH It's Raining Men Shower Gel

LUSH Hottie Massage Bar
So I won a gigantic sized "It's Raining Men" Shower gel, which smells like Honey I washed the Kids!! Yumm!!  And a Hottie massage bar, which smells like honey, black pepper & ginger.. sounds strange but it's actually pretty good.. very light though not strong at all! The little bumps are so you can massage out the kinks in your back & neck. So cute! So there you have it, my first LUSH haul! Yippee! Makes you wanna go out and buy some huh? Haha! Maybe eventually I'll Haul my entire LUSH stash... We shall see...

A is for Addiction

Psst

Hello all! Oh man. Where to begin!? I have been wanting to start a blog from quite some time now. I am addicted to makeup, shopping, clothes, baking cupcakes, photography and reading scandelous girly book series.. just to name a few! :)  I am always taking pictures & “hauling” the cool things I buy (or my “Fabulous Finds” as I like to call them). Showing them off to friends, family and my poor boyfriend who just smiles and nods (as if he cares!) Ha! Gotta love em! I figured, this way, I can share with the world- or pretend to anyways ;) So, follow me in my adventures of reading, shopping, baking and swapping! Who knows what will come next!
